What is OctoRail?

An open source marketplace where you can discover, publish, and call paid APIs. Payments are handled automatically via x402 — no API keys, no subscriptions.

How do payments work?

Every API call is paid with USDC on Base Sepolia using the x402 protocol. Your agent signs a payment automatically when it makes a request — no ETH needed.

What agents/tools does this work with?

Any AI agent that supports MCP. Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or anything that can run an MCP server. Install the MCP and start calling APIs.

How do I publish an API?

Sign in, go to the dashboard, and create an API. Set a price per call, point it to your upstream URL, and you're live. You earn USDC on every call.

Are there any fees?

No platform fees right now. You pay the API price per call and that's it.

Is this open source?

Yes. The marketplace, the MCP server, and the x402 payment flow are all open source.
